Rev. Casey Thompson, Pastor

Casey Thompson has been the pastor of Idylwood Presbyterian church since September of 2023. He moved to Falls Church in August of 2023 after marrying the Rev. Casey Wait (pictured), who is the pastor of John Calvin Presbyterian Church. That’s right—Rev. Casey married another Rev. Casey.

Prior to here, Casey was the pastor of Wayne Presbyterian Church where he co-founded The Common Place, an educational outreach center in Southwest Philly. Prior to that, he was the Associate Pastor for Congregational Nurture at Idlewild Presbyterian Church in Memphis, Tennessee.

He adds three kids, William, Megan and Andrew to his two adult children, Willow and Lily. He loves cooking, reading, writing, painting, juggling, and working on Ziggy, his 1971 Super Beetle.

Amy Moore, Administrative Assistant

Amy Moore has been the Administrative Assistant since January 2010 and also works full-time as a Health/Fitness Specialist. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science from Youngstown State University. Outside of work she enjoys running, shopping and being with her family & friends.

Amy Williams, Organist and Choir Director

Amy Williams joined the IPC staff in January 2013. She studied piano, organ and voice at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY. She comes to us from Clarendon Presbyterian Church where she served as organist and choir director for 32 years.
